School Improvement

We partner with schools, districts, and agencies to implement evidence-based school improvement strategies that create real, sustainable change. Many states and districts are adopting Student Success Systems—integrated with Multi-Tiered Systems of Support—to better identify and support students at risk while strengthening instructional effectiveness. While these systems are valuable, they are just one component of a larger, more comprehensive approach to school improvement.

Lasting change requires more than just adopting new tools. It demands a systems-level approach that integrates needs assessments, rapid inquiry cycles, and progress monitoring to drive continuous growth. We support schools, districts, and agencies beyond implementation; we provide strategic planning and program evaluation that help education decision makers refine policies, measure outcomes, and make data-driven decisions that lead to stronger student success.

Child Trends in Action: Driving Evidence-Based Solutions for Stronger Schools

We deliver research-based strategies that improve educational outcomes and operational efficiency for schools, districts, and agencies. Through our Innovation to Evidence Network, we connection decision makers with expert guidance, hands-on training, and peer collaboration to test, refine, and scale innovative interventions. Our work on the Pacific East Comprehensive Center strengthens state and local education systems by providing tailored support, strategic planning, and evidence-based tools that help decision makers implement meaningful, sustainable improvements. Additionally, our research on integrated student supports highlights how providing the right resources keeps students engaged and leads to long-term economic benefits, while our work in practical measurement helps school leaders track progress and refine strategies. By bridging research, policy, and hands-on implementation, we help schools create stronger systems, better outcomes, and lasting success for students and communities.
