Using the STEP Forward with Data Framework in conjunction with the Common Education Data Standards (CEDS) can help preschool leaders identify and leverage standardized data they already collect to answer the Framework’s essential questions. This resource aligns the Framework with the CEDS data standards (version 12) and provides examples, data elements for disaggregation, and considerations for implementation. This tool is geared toward preschool systems that already use, or are considering using, CEDs to standardize their preschool or K-12 data.
