As part of the Early Childhood Information System, 2009 Connecticut legislation mandated the development of a cross-agency unique program identifier for state-funded early childhood care and education programs. A unique identifier will allow state leaders to gain a nonduplicated count of programs, many of which blend and braid various public funding sources, and to assess outcomes for each individual site.
